Rootmaker® Container Grown Liners

Cinderbag Grown Products

Cinderbag Grown ProductsRootmaker® 5” Knit Fabric Containers
5” x 9” 177 cu. In.

This container utilizes both constriction and air pruning via a mesh bag grown in a conventional cinderblock. The combination of thousands of root pruning points in the bag and the reduced temperature provided by the cinderblock, produce a vigorous liner with a tremendous root system. Cinderbag products are most comparable to a 2 gallon container grown product in size. Plant material size is variable depending on species, but typically averages between 4 to 5 feet in height and 3/8” to ½” in caliper. Cinderbags are shipped by contract truck or FedEx freight by special pallet.

673 cu. In. (10.5”ID x 9.5” D)

Dr. Carl Whitcombs Rootmaker® container is simply the best air pruning plastic container on the market. Using a series of vertical ribs and horizontal ledges, this container actively directs growing roots to side openings, which allow for air root pruning. This pruning creates a well-branched root system thus increasing uptake of inorganic nutrients and water. Increased water and nutrient transport to the leaves translates into greater top growth and enhances transplant success.

Rootmaker® containers are shipped by contract truck.
